The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) issued the Synchronization Test Guidelines on December 19, 2022, and the guidelines were put into a trial period for six months starting from the date of publication. However, as the expected number of cases was not received during the trial period, BIS decided on June 12, 2023, to extend the trial end date to December 31, 2023. Additionally, they also included (a) wireless headsets/in-ear headphones and (b) handheld computers/laptops/tablets in the pilot program.
