The Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization (SASO) has recently issued the technical regulations for the energy consumption requirements of standby and sleep modes for electronic and electrical equipment. This regulation was approved on April 6, 2023, and will be mandatory from July 1, 2024. At that time, suppliers must prepare Supplier Declaration of Conformity documents in accordance with the requirements of the regulation for compliance self-declaration.
